Its that time of year. I am switching gears from the lake to the river. It has been a gorgeous summer in the Lake O region with plenty of warm days but the wind did challenge us quite a bit. when it was all said and done I would say that July and my last two weeks were by far the best times of the season. We caught fish in between but again weather plagued and punished us every few days. As Capt Tony Buffa said time after time; How long will we be punished LOL.
Lake fishing is still red hot from Oswego east and north to the dunes.
Top producers the last few days Echip flashers and Atomik flies
Pig pen with a mirage in the sun
Valium with a green glow
White mt dew with a hammer or 106x
Don't be afraid to fish the warm water 58 to 64 .They are there and they will bite.
River fishing is still very slow but I hope to update this tomorrow with god news after a cool night tonight. Stay tuned. Best Fishes and God Bless.
