Lake Ontario Fishing Report 5/ 16/ 16
Gale winds are keeping everyone at the dock today but Lake Ontario fishing has been sick with big bright kings, some hefty browns and plenty of giant lake trout,

For Kings, the best spoons have been Finger Lakes Tackle and Stingers in Glow Gator, Black Widow, SSW, Diehard and Green Dolphin.
For browns he best baits are a black silver orange belly smithwicks, fished on the surface about 150 feet behind the boat and dream weaver spoons in black and silver, glow green, and orange, fished 4 to 10 feet down off of the downriggers. Look for colored water and warmer temperatures and the fish will be there.
The walleye action on Oneida Lake is up & down right now. Fish are being taken in shallow and deep water. North of Messenger Reef, jigging with black/purple 1/2 to 5/8 oz. jigs tipped with a crawler is also taking a fair share of fish.
The Salmon River Steelhead fishing is all but done with ontl a few stragglers left. There is some real good smallmouth bass fishing and resident trout that can be produce some great fly fishing action. E-mail me for details
I have openings for charters and now is the time.
This is Captain Troy Creasy, Keep your line wet, and God Bless.
