Welcome to High Adventure Sportfishing
Mid April and the bite is on. We are wrokiong for them every day but the fish are here and it may soon actually look and feel like Spring.
My River season is booked but I habve openings for May and June Brown Trout and Oneida Walleye Trips.
Doug asked me to share this, so I will.
Word of mouth is the best advertising.
Dear Troy,
I would like to thank you for the wonderful opportunity to introduce my 12 year old son to drift boat fishing. Our recent trip on March 18th was a roll of the dice for us in hopes that we could squeeze in a day on the river among our hectic schedule. The accommodations at the Double Eagle Lodge you recommended for our stay over the night before were great and the trip went exactly as we planned (even better than planned).
My goal for this trip was just a couple of hook ups and hopefully a decent landing of a steelhead for my son to experience his first time out.
Your attention to detail and patience with us was obvious from the start.
The heater in the bow of the boat made all the difference. What could have been an unbearable cold day turned out to be comfortable and fun.
You worked hard to find the fish….changing up the presentation often and trying different techniques……reading the river and putting us on the fish…..just as an experienced guide should.
In the end my son and I both caught Steelhead. Mine was a decent fish, but my son got the bragging rights with a 12 pounder at 33” in length. We can’t wait to get it back from the taxidermist! My son and I are still showing off the pictures and I have it as a screen saver on my phone……..you helped make a memory that will last a lifetime!!!
Thanks,
Doug Lyon

The fishing on Pine Island remains good with bigger fish showing up each trip out. A cold front and high winds kind of killed the weekend, but we managed to get a few hours in on Saturday.
I have a few more weeks down here and then will be back on the Salmon River and prepping the boats for Spring trout, salmon and walleye fishing.
I have March 19 and April 19 a long with May 1, 2, 3 for steelhead after that I have plenty of open days on the Lake Ontario and Oneida Lake.

Steve with our largest Sheepshead of the season. will we gwt a bigger one, Stay tuned.
Grouper was just one of thirteen different species of fish we caught in a day out last week.
Here she is!
The latest edition to the High Adventure fish catching arsenal.
She will spend the winter months on Pine Island chasing Reds, Snook, shark, Sea trout, Sheepshead and whatever else bites.
I will tow her north and keep her down on Oneida lake where I am certain it will be a Walleye catching machine.
With a T-top to break the sun and rain, this Pathfinder is 22 feet long and over 7 feet wide. With a 200 Yamaha she tops out at over 50 MPH while keeping you dry and safe.
I just put a new Garmin Combo unit on her and she catches fish.
I am really excited about this boat.
Call me now for walleye dates in May and June.
