Welcome to High Adventure Sportfishing
I have December 12, 13, 19. If anyone wants them let me know. Looks like I might have time to hunt with the muzzle loader after all. Double edge sword. :(
12/1/13 December is here and winter conditions have arrived. Fish are now holding in the slower deeper pools and we are taking more fish in the bellies of the holes, rather than the heads and tails like we were when the water was pushing 40.
Steelhead are spread from the top of the river to the estuary. We are having great success with eggs, beads, flies and plugs. Many many double digit days recently.
Water conditions are super crowds are down a little and the weather is great; Snow, wind and cold!!
I currently have December 5 ,18, 19, 20 ,23 open.
If you want to hook up give me a shout. Best fishes, Troy
Giant Kings and I mean giant! Steelhead and browns are pouring up the Salmon River. We have had a good push of fish everyday for the last 4 days. Time is now to get it on. Don't miss out on the 2013 Salmon Run.
I just had October 22 and November 19 open up. Call me if you are interested.
9/21/13 First River Report
I have been on the river and fishing the mouth at night for 11 days now. Just like the lake it has been up and down. Banner days followed by tough days and bak to all you want. I am fishing low in the DRS floating up above and rowing glow spoons at night. Here are some pictures and a link to a Fire Blog I did for Pautzke Bauit Company. Check it out!
I have a few days in December for Steelhead and plenty of opening in January and February for Florida Backwater Fishing in Pine Island.Spring steelhead days are about gone so contaxct me soon if want to fish in March or April.
Best Fishes, Troy
High winds have kept us off the lake the last few days. Looks like better weather ahead. Fish are staging off the river mouths and it about time for another good push up the salmon river.
My Fall salmon season is booked but I do have some days in November and December for steelhead.
I have a few more lake trips then it is full blown river season for me.
Thank you again to all my great lake customers that mad this summer successful.
I am also booking backwater trips in Pine Island Florida in January and February. Call me for details.

July 22, 2013
Good catches of kings and browns are the norm this time of year. We just came off a big blow, lost two days but today was flat, sunny and the bite was on. I have days if you want to hook up.
We are managing decent catches every trip out. Working hard for salmon and browns but the big lake trout are saving the trips.
Things are finally seting up offshore after a month of bad wind.
We have openings through the summer so if you want to get hooked up give us a call.
We ended May and started another month on a good note. Walleye continue to entertain us on Oneida Lake Plenty of action to go around as the bite has been very consistent.
Our end of Lake O is giving up browns, lake trout and the occasional salmon. Conditions have been decent and the weather is gorgeous.
What are you waiting for?
And when the wind blows we carch smallmouth!
While I still have plenty of open lake dates, many are asking about the river already. I only have a few dates for Fall river fishing and here they are.
September 9, 10, 12
October 28, 31
November 7, 22, 26, 27
December 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22.
Give us a call and we will hook you up!
May 24, 40 degrees, high winds and here I am. We toughed it out awhile on Onida but the waves and driving rain got the best of us .
It was good and it will be good again, but we have to get through this rainy windy cold period and we will be first.
Lake Trout- like you read about. All sizes with many in the 8 to 14 pound class!
Brown Trout- Here today gone the next. Really has ben hit and miss in our area. They are doing better up north towards Stony and Henderson but we have had so much south wind it really has them scattered. I am thinking it will be good aftert this blow.
Salmon- They are here to catch if you get offshore and find them. 250 to 400 seems to be the best area this past week.
Oswego Walleye- It was real good but the river is rising and it is dirty. Kind of slowed things down big time.
Oneida Lake- It has been pretty good lately. Plenty of legal eyes with perch, catfish, sheepshead and bass mixed in.
Right now I am open May 28, 30
June 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 13, 14, 15.
Give a shout and we will hook you up!
Mid April and the bite is on. We are wrokiong for them every day but the fish are here and it may soon actually look and feel like Spring.
My River season is booked but I habve openings for May and June Brown Trout and Oneida Walleye Trips.
Doug asked me to share this, so I will.
Word of mouth is the best advertising.
I would like to thank you for the wonderful opportunity to introduce my 12 year old son to drift boat fishing. Our recent trip on March 18th was a roll of the dice for us in hopes that we could squeeze in a day on the river among our hectic schedule. The accommodations at the Double Eagle Lodge you recommended for our stay over the night before were great and the trip went exactly as we planned (even better than planned).
My goal for this trip was just a couple of hook ups and hopefully a decent landing of a steelhead for my son to experience his first time out.
Your attention to detail and patience with us was obvious from the start.
The heater in the bow of the boat made all the difference. What could have been an unbearable cold day turned out to be comfortable and fun.
You worked hard to find the fish….changing up the presentation often and trying different techniques……reading the river and putting us on the fish…..just as an experienced guide should.
In the end my son and I both caught Steelhead. Mine was a decent fish, but my son got the bragging rights with a 12 pounder at 33” in length. We can’t wait to get it back from the taxidermist! My son and I are still showing off the pictures and I have it as a screen saver on my phone……..you helped make a memory that will last a lifetime!!!
The fishing on Pine Island remains good with bigger fish showing up each trip out. A cold front and high winds kind of killed the weekend, but we managed to get a few hours in on Saturday.
I have a few more weeks down here and then will be back on the Salmon River and prepping the boats for Spring trout, salmon and walleye fishing.
I have March 19 and April 19 a long with May 1, 2, 3 for steelhead after that I have plenty of open days on the Lake Ontario and Oneida Lake.
Steve with our largest Sheepshead of the season. will we gwt a bigger one, Stay tuned.
Grouper was just one of thirteen different species of fish we caught in a day out last week.
Here she is!
The latest edition to the High Adventure fish catching arsenal.
She will spend the winter months on Pine Island chasing Reds, Snook, shark, Sea trout, Sheepshead and whatever else bites.
I will tow her north and keep her down on Oneida lake where I am certain it will be a Walleye catching machine.
With a T-top to break the sun and rain, this Pathfinder is 22 feet long and over 7 feet wide. With a 200 Yamaha she tops out at over 50 MPH while keeping you dry and safe.
I just put a new Garmin Combo unit on her and she catches fish.
I am really excited about this boat.
Call me now for walleye dates in May and June.
